Westland Business Unit - Westland District Council

A one-off event held in Christchurch in 2012 created by the same team that run the Hokitika Wildfoods Festival each year.

I joined the team from the outset and played a large
part in establishing the look and feel. The festival
brand required a distinct down-to-earth West Coast
flavour which I captured in the loose hand-drawn logo, style, chosen fonts, written copy in the communication, and in the language of the signage.

The work undertaken was substantial - I designed the logo, artist impressions of the site and site props, the festival tickets, posters, invitations, stationery, adverts, postcards, flyers, site map, winners certificates, printed goody-bag items, souvenir TShirt designs, souvenir tea-towels, signage and a 26 image Whitebaiter’s Walk
(a visual history of whitebait on large boards).

The feedback from visiting marketing personnel on the day was that it was the most cohesively branded and best presented and delivered event that they had experienced.
