With over twenty years of experience designing for the apparel industry it has become my forté.

I had a decade of employment at both Global Culture and Canterbury International before working with other national and international apparel brands as a self-employed designer.

I’m a graphic designer that not only knows print technology but also understands the apparel industry perimeters AND the lingo... (...grading, sublimation, yardage, plackets, set-in sleeves, seam allowance, mesh-size, spandisol ink, moiré, selvedge, TPX...)

I would like to attract more of this work into my life - design that is specific for textile print. It often combines my love for illustration with a lot of Photoshop play, often followed by delicious results. I am knowledgeable and experienced at artwork set-up for screenprinting, digital printing and engineered print. Working out pattern repeat for down a roll of fabric is no easy feat. The term ‘engineered print’ can be explained by saying: Instead of the printed fabric and the garment being two separate entities that are brought together, the garment is designed and then the fabric print is designed specifically for that garment. I am supplied pattern pieces, (or fabric measurements) to use as a guide to where elements should or could sit.
